Beautiful waterfalls and incredible wildlife: escape Bangkok and spend a day immersed in nature in one of Thailand's largest national parks on this tour of Khao Yai.
Khao Yai Tour
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Bangkok for a 3-hour drive to the northeast. Time for a jungle adventure!
On the way, we'll make a brief stop at The Birder's Lodge, where you can buy a coffee before continuing on to Khao Yai National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Once at our destination, we'll start with a hiking tour. Along the way, we'll admire the curious local flora and, if we're lucky, we'll be able to see some of the animals that inhabit the park such as elephants, gibbons or deer. After 2 to 3 hours, depending on the speed of the group, we'll arrive at the Haew Suwat waterfall, the largest in the park. If you have seen the Leonardo DiCaprio movie The Beach, this landscape will be familiar to you as it appears in one of the main scenes.
Here, you'll have about 30 minutes to grab some lunch. Near the waterfall, there is a cafeteria and a small restaurant—the choice is yours!
Feeling refuelled, you'll continue to Haew Narok waterfall, one of the most picturesque places in the park. We'll marvel at the coolness of the waterfall and enjoy a well-deserved rest before making our way back.
Finally, we'll return to Bangkok and say goodbye at the MBK Shopping Centre after an 11-hour tour.
Itinerary Changes
During the months of April and May, visits to Haew Suwat and Haew Narok waterfalls are not available, as the water flow at these times is non-existent due to the dry season.
Instead, after lunch, we'll follow a nature trail through the winding paths of the park, enjoying the enchanting scenery around us. At the end of the hike, we'll arrive at the Nong Phak Chi Observation Tower, where you can climb to the top and take in the breathtaking panoramic view of the landscape.
Pickup
This tour includes pickup from hotels located on Khaosan Road, Narathiwas Ratnakarin, Sathorn Road (north and south), Pratunam and Wireless Road. If you're staying outside these areas, you'll need to make your own way to the MBK Shopping Centre.
