Brussels Atomium Tickets
Visit the Atomium
Located in the north of the city, next to Laeken Park, the Atomium is Brussels' most iconic and visited monument.
With your tickets, you'll explore this symbol of the city at your own pace and uncover all the secrets of this 102-meter (335-foot) structure.
If you've ever wondered what's inside the Atomium, now's the time to find out. From one of its pillars, you'll ride an escalator up to the central sphere. Inside, you'll find a permanent exhibition telling the story of how the Atomium was built.
Your ticket also gives you access to the temporary exhibitions that are regularly on show inside the monument, as well as the panoramic viewing platform in the top sphere. From this vantage point at the very summit, you'll enjoy sweeping 360-degree views of Laeken Park, Mini-Europe, and King Baudouin Stadium.
You're free to spend as long as you like inside.
History of the Atomium
The Atomium, a combination of the words atom and aluminum, was built for the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. This colossal structure represents nine atoms of an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times. It was designed by Belgian engineer André Waterkeyn, whose aim was to make the Atomium a symbol of mid-20th-century scientific progress. Its nine spheres, connected by tubes containing escalators, are clad in stainless steel to withstand the elements.
With over 60,000 visitors a year, the Atomium is currently the most visited monument in Belgium.
Opening Hours
The Brussels Atomium is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm. Final admission is at 5:30 pm.
Brussels City Tour + Audio Guide and eSIM

Please note that this audio guide is only valid for the Brussels city center tour, not for the Atomium itself. The monument is visited independently, without a guide or audio guide.
