Explore the beauty of southwestern Peru on our 2-day tour to Ica and Paracas. You'll admire breathtaking scenery & visit lagoons, beaches & deserts.
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at the agreed meeting point, either your hotel or the bus terminal, to begin this fascinating adventure through Ica.
We'll start with a visit to the Plaza de Armas, where we'll admire the architecture of the Cathedral of Ica and its centenary history. Afterwards, we'll visit the Regional Museum of Ica, and tour the anthropology and biological anthropology rooms, where you'll learn about the ancient cultures that developed in this region, such as the Paracas and the Nazca. You'll be amazed by the historical heritage that this place holds!
Our next stop will be at a traditional winery in Ica, where we'll start an immersion in the local wine culture. We'll have the opportunity to taste different varieties of pisco and wine, iconic products of this part of the country.
We'll continue to the magical oasis of the Huacachina Lagoon, a dream place in the middle of the desert. Here, we'll get into a buggy to enjoy a thrilling ride through the dunes, and those who dare can go sandboarding.
As the day winds down, we'll drop you off at the hotel, where you can unwind, enjoy some dinner, and rest up for the next day.
After breakfast at the hotel, we'll head for Paracas. From the dock of this coastal town, we'll take a boat trip across the Pacific Ocean to the famous Ballestas Islands. During the boat trip, we'll be able to admire the fascinating El Candelabro geoglyph, a gigantic figure engraved on the Paracas peninsula, whose function is still a mystery.
We'll continue to the Ballesta Islands, home to an impressive biodiversity. From the boat, we'll observe guano birds, perhaps dolphins and, with a bit of luck, Humboldt penguins. We'll also make a special stop at a sea lion conservation centre.
Next, you'll have free time to grab some lunch. Feeling refuelled, we'll start a tour of the Paracas National Reserve. We'll visit the Paracas Peninsula viewpoint and the Roja, Lagunillas and Yumaque beaches. This is the perfect opportunity to capture some stunning photos!
Finally, we'll wrap up the tour by dropping you off in Ica after 2 unforgettable days of adventure.
