Set off on an adventure with us and explore the Amazon and Ucayali on our 4-day cruise. We'll visit the Yanayacu de Yacapana communal reserve and the Yarapa, Marayali and Marañon Rivers.
Amazon & Ucayali 4-Day Cruise
Day 1: Iquitos - Nauta
Let's get our adventure started! We'll pick you up from your hotel or Iquitos Airport and take you to the DoubleTree Hilton hotel for lunch. After lunch, we'll take you to Nauta's river port to board the La Perla cruise ship.
Day 2: Vista Alegre - Yanayacu de Yacapana
Good morning! On our second day, we'll start going on trips to discover the Amazon. After breakfast, we'll hop in a boat to go in search of the famous pink dolphins. Next, we'll go to the village of Vista Alegre to visit its butterfly farm.
In the afternoon, we'll have lunch and then explore the biodiversity of the Yanayacu de Yacapana reserve. Here, we'll see a variety of Amazonian species such as macaws, sloths, monkeys and more dolphins. You can also go piranha fishing before returning to the cruise ship. During the evening, we'll have dinner while enjoying live music and then go out to observe nocturnal wildlife.
Day 3: Marañon & Marayali Rivers - Pahuachiro
Rise and shine! At dawn, we'll set off to the Marañon River by boat and wake up in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest. We'll also pass by the Marayali stream, a protected area where we'll continue admiring the local fauna. Afterwards, we'll return to the boat to have breakfast.
The morning will continue with a walk through Pahuachiro, a biodiverse jungle area. In the afternoon, we'll admire the sunset from the cruise ship and attend a live music show before dinner.
Day 4: Nauta - Amazon Rescue Centre - Iquitos
We'll have breakfast and disembark in Nauta to head to Iquitos. On the way there, we'll stop at the Amazon Rescue Centre and learn how biologists and volunteers care for endangered animals such as manatees. Afterwards, we'll take you to the airport or your hotel in Iquitos.
Accommodation
The tour includes 3 nights' accommodation on a cruise ship with full board in a cabin of your chosen category. The La Perla cruise ship has two decks and an observation deck, with cabins in a traditional Amazonian design that are equipped with everything you need: a desk, wardrobe, bedside table, hairdryer, amenities, hot water and air conditioning.
Cabins
When making your booking, you'll be able to choose from the following categories for your cabin:
- Standard: 150-square-foot (14-square metre) cabin with either two twin beds or a Queen bed and a private bathroom with a shower.
- Standard with views: 172-square-foot (16-square-metre) cabin with a Queen or King bed, a private bathroom with a shower and access to a balcony.
- Superior: 215-square-foot (20-square-metre) cabin with two single beds that can be converted into a California King and a private bathroom with a shower. Perfect for families!
