Free Walking Tour of Jodhpur
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Ghanta Gar Square, and once we're all together, we'll begin this free tour of Jodhpur. Ready? Let's go!
In this bustling area, in the city centre, we'll admire the Clock Tower. This monument, an architectural testament to the Victorian era in which it was built, overlooks the lively Sardar market. The tour will take you through the market, giving you an authentic feel of daily life in India.
Continue your walking tour route to the historic Toorji Ka Jhalra step well. Several hundred years old, the intricate carvings of this traditional step well seem to have resisted the passage of time well. Relax in the peace that surrounds this captivating place, a striking contrast from the bustling Jodhpur streets, and admire the beautiful geometry of its architecture, typical of the Rajasthani region.
Afterward, we'll continue to learn about the cultures and traditions of India by exploring the Chodhiyon Ka market and the surrounding area as we head to the Kunj Bihari temple. Did you know that many say it is a replica of the famous Ghanshyam Ji temple? We'll see its fascinating architecture as we tell you all the stories and legends surrounding it.
To really put the theory to the test, we'll head to Ghanshyam Ji Temple, to admire its red sandstone facade and large domes.
Finally, we'll arrive at Panchayat Hill, from where we'll enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the city.
Then, we'll bring the tour to an end 2 hours later.
