Watching a spectacular sunset and swimming at night amongst bioluminescent plankton: what better way to spend an evening than this Maya Bay cruise from Koh Phi Phi Don?
Maya Bay Sunset Cruise
At 2:30 pm, we'll meet at a tourist office in central Ko Phi Phi Don, before heading down to the island's pier, located a 10 minute walk away. There we'll board a boat and set sail on the sparkling waters of the Andaman Sea.
We'll cruise to the south, making our first stop on the north coast of Ko Phi Phi Lee to see the famous Viking Caves from the boat. After discovering the secrets of these intriguing rock formations, we'll continue sailing to the south of the island, where the paradise Maya Bay awaits us.
This famous bay is known for being the filming location of the movie The Beach, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. After marvelling at its spectacular beauty from the boat deck, we'll head to a nearby area where you'll be free to relax, snorkel and kayak while the sun goes down. We'll also be treated to a snack buffet of fresh Thai fruits.
At around 6:30 pm, we'll enjoy a delicious buffet dinner while continuing to enjoy the views of the Thai islands at dusk. Then, once our meal has settled, we'll get kitted out with our snorkelling equipment again ready for a unique experience: swimming amongst bioluminescent plankton!
Having made the most of this unforgettable natural phenomena, we'll return to the boat for the return journey to Ko Phi Phi Don. We'll arrive back at the pier for around 9 pm.
