PADI Open Water Course
Start day: Orientation
On this preliminary day, you'll meet your instructor in the evening to complete all the necessary paperwork and receive your diving manual. The group will also get its first taste of PADI in an introduction video.
Day 1: Theory + practice in confined waters
First thing in the morning, the group will get into gear and hit the pool for some basic exercises. You'll build confidence and learn to set up and use the equipment in no time!
After getting familiar with the equipment, we'll jump into the theory part of the PADI Open Water Diver course. This classroom session will give you the knowledge to move effortlessly through the water.
Day 2: Theory + practice in shallow open water (12 m / 40 ft)
Ready for some action? After another classroom section and a test to check your theoretical knowledge of diving, it's time to head to the boat! We'll put all of our knowledge into practice and test our diving skills in the field. The group will complete a total of two dives in open water on this first day, with a maximum depth of 12 meters or 40 feet.
Day 3: Open water dives (18 m / 60 ft)
On this final day, we'll head to the boat again bright and early in the morning to complete our final two open-water dives.
Over the course of these final two days, you'll have learned to demonstrate how to set up the equipment, buoyancy control, how to clear your mask, how to help someone who runs out of air, and many more essential open-water diving skills. After successfully completing all exercises, you'll have your PADI Open Water Diver certificate!
Important
You should wait at least 24 hours after your last dive to get on a plane or visit high-altitude areas.
