Buggy and Sandboarding in the Usaka Desert
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Nazca and set off in a buggy to the spectacular Usaka desert.
Our first stop of the day will be at the Ocongalla Aqueducts, which were built in a way different to how you might imagine. These constructions were built in depth, and are still in use today.
We'll continue our visit to the pyramids of Cahuachi, the ancient capital of the Nazca culture. We'll take a brief tour of this ceremonial center and continue to a cemetery that for years has been the target of grave robbers. Here you'll find skeletal remains dating back more than 1,600 years belonging to the Nazca culture, which will surely make an impact on you!
To complete the route by buggy, we'll cross the dunes of Usaka, an impressive natural enclave where you'll ride up and down these wonderful sand formations of the Peruvian desert.
Then, we'll stop at the top of one of the Usaka dunes and give you all the necessary material to spend 1 hour sandboarding. You'll be able to glide with your boards over the small dunes as well as the big ones, and we assure you that the experience will be unforgettable!
We'll finish the day by returning to your hotel in Nazca after a fantastic four-hour tour.
