Colorful markets and beautiful temples await on this free tour of Pushkar, one of the most fascinating cities in the Indian state of Rajasthan, which will captivate you from beginning to end!
Tour Details
At the appointed time, we'll start our free tour of Pushkar at the Gurudwara Sahib, a spectacular white temple. In front of this shrine of the Sikh religion, we'll talk about the city's link to Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism.
After learning about its history, we'll border the sacred lake of Pushkar in the direction of the Jagatpita Shri Brahma Mandir, a beautiful Buddhist temple with a red facade and blue columns. The main peculiarity of this sacred place is that it is one of the few temples dedicated to the creator god Brahma that exist in India.
The next stop will take place in front of the Varaha temple, dedicated to Vishnu, one of the main deities of Hinduism. We'll learn why he is so revered and what are the main reasons for such devotion.
Then, we'll visit the colorful markets of Pushkar, where we'll learn which are the most popular products in the different stalls. Fruits, vegetables and, above all, spices, give a multicolored touch to these places.
Finally, after a tour of approximately 2 hours, we'll conclude the free tour in the old part of the city.
