A sacred pilgrimage site and a UNESCO World Heritage fortress feature on this private day trip to Brahma Temple and Chittorgarh Fort. You'll get to know two must-see places in the state of Rajasthan.
Brahma Temple & Chittorgarh Fort Day Trip
After picking you up from your hotel in Udaipur at 8 am, we'll drive to Chittorgarh Fort, located in the valley of the Berach River and conceived as the largest fortress in India.
Palaces, memorial towers, ramparts and great gates make up Chittorgarh Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As we tour the monument, we'll tell you about the various violent sieges it has experienced throughout history. Assassinations, tragic love affairs and collective suicides are the main characters of these sad struggles, which will give you goosebumps!
Afterwards, we'll return to the vehicle and drive to the city of Pushkar. Are you ready to visit one of the most important pilgrimage sites in India?
We'll visit the Brahma temple, built in the 16th century in honour of the Creator God. Did you know that it is the deity with the fewest places of worship in Hinduism? We'll tell you why as we tour this religious complex. Nearby, we'll also visit Pushkar Lake, another important sacred site.
Then it's time to say goodbye. We'll finish the tour by dropping you off at your hotel in Udaipur at 4 pm or, if you prefer, we can drop you off somewhere in the centre of Jaipur.
Guide Languages
You can book this tour with an English-speaking guide who will accompany you throughout the tour or if you prefer, you can opt for a more basic tour that includes only an English-speaking driver. If you choose the unguided tour, you'll visit the Brahma Temple and Chittorgarh Fort on your own.
