Varanasi Walking Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of St. Thomas Church, from where we'll start our free tour of Varanasi, one of the oldest cities in the world. Ready to delve into the depths of India?
Throughout the tour, we'll take you to Varanasi's most emblematic places. We'll visit the Shri Brihaspati temple, the Vyasa temple and the Tripura Bhairavi temple, dedicated to the goddess Parvati. We'll also visit the Nepali Mandir temple, one of the oldest and most famous places of worship in the city, dedicated to the god Shiva.
Afterwards, we'll visit what is considered to be one of the oldest and most famous temples in the city. This wooden temple known as Nepali Mandir, was built by a 19th-century Nepalese King and dedicated to Lord Shiva.
We'll also take you to the banks of the Ganges River, specifically to one of the ghats, steps that descend to the most famous river in Varanasi. There you'll be amazed by what your eyes will see. This may be one of the most impressive places of your stay in India, as you'll find yourself immersed in an authentic crematorium. Did you know that Hindus go to this place when they reach the age of 60 to await their death? A unique experience!
As well as that, we'll also stroll through some of the city's ancient markets, where you'll be able to buy some typical products. We'll finish our free tour of Varanasi by saying goodbye two hours later.
