Enjoy the nature of the surroundings of Cuzco with this hiking route to the Perolniyoc Waterfall, a magical place full of beautiful landscapes and corners to discover.
Activity Details
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Cuzco, where we'll hit the road to the village of Soqma. After approximately a 1-hour trip, we'll arrive in this town and provide a brief introduction to the route and the natural places we'll be visiting.
Then, it'll be time to get going! We'll start with a medium-level uphill hike. On this first stretch, we'll see how the locals continue practicing ancestral agriculture and enjoy the varied flora and fauna of the area.
After approximately 1.5 hours, we'll find the star of the show: the Perolniyoc Waterfall. This natural wonder was used during the Incan period as a ceremonial fountain. Here, you'll have about 45 minutes to rest, explore the surroundings, and take all the photos your heart desires.
Then, we'll return to Soqma, completing our hiking route of about 4.97 mi (8 km) in total. Next, we'll hop on board the vehicle and head to Ñaupa Iglesia, a former Incan temple dedicated to ceremonies and worshipping the moon. Here, you'll enjoy the calm setting of this mystical place surrounded by mountains.
Lastly, we'll continue toward Pachar, where a traditional lunch prepared with natural products from the local village awaits. Afterward, you'll have 45 minutes of free time, which you can use to visit an artisanal brewery.
Finally, we'll return to Cuzco and drop you off at your hotel 9 hours after pickup.
