Moray Ruins & Maras Salt Mines Tour (5 hours)
On this day trip, we'll first visit the archaeological site of Moray. Having reached the dizzying altitudes of 3,500 metres (almost 11,500 feet) in height, we'll discover the fascinating circular amphitheatre and uncover the curiosities of this ancient agricultural centre, attributed to the Inca civilisation.
Afterwards, we'll head to the salt mines of Maras, which have transformed the Andean landscape. This excursion follows a similar itinerary to our group Moray Ruins & Maras Salt Mines Tour.
Humantay Lake (14 hours)
This excursion takes you to visit Humantay Lake in the Andes. After having an energising breakfast in Mollepata, we'll continue our ascent until we reach the Sorayampa camp, where we'll get to see the snow-capped Salkantay Mountain. From there, we'll embark on an hour and 40 minute long trekking route to Humantay Lake, a breathtaking lagoon surrounded by glaciers. Afterwards, we'll head back down to Soraypampa for a delicious buffet lunch. This tour is similar to our group Humantay Lake Hike.
Rainbow Mountain (13 hours)
After passing through Urcos, we'll make a stop in Cusipata, where you'll be treated to a hearty breakfast. With satisfied appetites, we'll then travel onwards to Phulawasipata, where we'll begin a hiking trail.
Our trek begins at the foot of Ausangate and takes us to the spectacular Rainbow Mountain! After exploring the peak, where you're sure to be captivated by its striking multicoloured landscapes, we'll make the journey down to Cusipata, where we'll be treated to a well-earned lunch. This day trip is similar to our group Rainbow Mountain Hike.
Sacred Valley of the Incas (10 hours)
Our first stop on this tour will be in Pisac, where we'll explore the remarkable remnants of the Inca civilization in the Sacred Valley. After immersing ourselves in the ruins and the charming town of Pisac, we'll continue our journey to Ollantaytambo. This small yet captivating town showcases an excellent example of Inca urban planning. As we wander through the ruins, we'll delve into the rich history and culture of this ancient civilization.
To replenish our energy, we'll indulge in a delicious buffet lunch at a restaurant in Urubamba. With our appetites satisfied, we'll make our way to the upper part of the town to discover the Inca ruins that grace the highest point. Prepare for an awe-inspiring experience as we uncover the secrets of these magnificent structures.
You'll have some free time to enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants before we culminate this tour with a visit to the Inca ruins, located at the highest part of Urubamba.
The tour is similar to the tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas for groups.
