On this day trip to the Widow's Mountain Range, we'll admire snowy mountains, colourful lagoons, and dream-like landscapes. You can't miss it!
Day Trip Details
We'll pick you up at the meeting point in Lima you select at the designated meeting point to begin our journey towards the Widow's Mountain Range. Throughout the drive, we'll have spectacular views that will prepare us for the experience that awaits us. Let's go!
On this 2.5-hour trip from the city of Lima, we'll make a stop at Santa Rosa de Quives, a village where you can grab some breakfast. We'll then explore the area where Rose of Lima, a patron saint of Peru, lived out her childhood. We'll visit her chapel and the famous wishing well. Don't forget to bring a letter with all your wishes to throw into the well!
Back on the road, we'll have a brief pause at the Cochapampa viewpoint. This spot will provide impressive scenic views of Canta and other Andean villages. We'll then make our way to the magical Pomora Waterfall, also known as Mellizadera.
Further ahead, we'll reach 4800 metres (15750 feet) above sea level to admire the Lagoon of 7 Colours, a sacred place full of beauty in the Widow's Mountain Range. Here, we'll perform a ritual to pay homage to the Earth, giving thanks for all the good it provides us. Afterwards, you'll have 2 hours of free time to explore the surroundings or, if you wish, enjoy a boat trip across the lagoon's crystal-clear waters.
After immersing ourselves in this beautiful scenery, we'll make our way to Huaros, where you can grab some lunch. Make the most of your time in this town by trying some local dishes like trout or pachamanca!
Having re-energised, we'll begin our return trip to Lima. Along the way, we'll stop at Canta, a village where you can rest, stretch your legs and, if you wish, buy a local product or two like homemade cheese or sweets. What a great souvenir to commemorate your trip!
Lastly, after a total of 16 hours, we'll say our goodbyes at the original meeting point.
