Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the meeting point in Lima to start our day trip to San Mateo de Otao, in the province of Huarochirí. During the journey, we'll stop at the Mirador la Doncella so you can enjoy the spectacular views and grab some breakfast.
About 3.5 hours after leaving Lima, we'll reach San Mateo de Otao, where you'll have 2 hours to enjoy your preferred adventure activities. You can cross a suspension bridge, rent a zipline bike to feel like a bird, and take unique pictures in the Mano de Dios (Hand of God) and the Luna Gigante (Giant Moon). It'll be an adrenaline-fueled experience!
Afterward, we'll continue with a 1-hour hiking route until we reach the waterfall of Otao. Along the way, we'll cross trails surrounded by native vegetation and small hills that will put your strength to the test. Once we reach the waterfall, you'll have 1 hour of free time to explore the area and relax with a refreshing dip in the water.
After the adventure, we'll head to the town of Ucro, where you can grab a bite to eat and enjoy a typical lunch. With newfound energy, we'll embark on an exciting cable car ride, 984 feet (300 meters) above the ground that will cover a distance of 1640 feet (500 meters). From here, the scenic views of the valley will leave you breathless!
To wrap up, we'll visit a farm specializing in the production of cherimoya, an iconic fruit of the region. During this 1-hour visit, you'll learn about its cultivation and have the chance to taste some of its derived products. You'll also have time to take pictures and buy souvenirs before we head back to Lima.
After a day filled with excitement, we'll once again reach the capital and say our goodbyes at the starting point after 17 hours.
