Meet the vicuñas and guanacos that live in the Pampa Galeras Bárbara D'Achille National Reserve with this fantastic trip from Nazca.
Pampa Galeras Barbara D'Achille Trip
At 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Nazca and travel along the Nazca - Cuzco interoceanic highway for two hours. On the way, you will admire the beautiful landscapes of the Peruvian Andes and the Cerro Blanco, the highest dune in the world.
When we arrive at Pampa Galeras Bárbara D'Achille, located at an altitude of more than 13,500 feet high, we will begin to see vicuñas and guanacos, two amazing species of camelid that live freely on this Andean plateau. We will discover the characteristics of these animals, which are close relations of llamas and alpacas.
We will enter the museum of the reserve, where we will get to know the wild fauna that lives in this area of Peru. We will also tell you about the Vicuña Project and the work done by the Andean people to protect this endangered species.
Finally, we head back outside to take a closer look at these beautiful animals, and you can capture them on your camera! After an hour and a half exploring the Pampa Galeras, we will return to the bus that will take us back to Nazca.
We will finish the tour at 2 pm.
