Trip to San Fernando Bay + Sandboarding in Nazca
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Nazca at the indicated time. From there we'll drive south until we reach the pampa of Poroma where we get ready to explore the desert.
For two hours, we'll explore the Poroma area to visit the most surprising places of the immense Nazca desert, such as the Huaricangana hill or the San Fernando hills. After this fun tour, we'll arrive at San Fernando Bay, a refuge for sea lions, penguins, otters, and even the condor.
Continuing on, we'll reach the control booths where the park rangers will give us a warm welcome. There will also be an educational center where you can see some animal skeletons!
Once there, we'll head to a viewpoint to admire one of the best panoramic views of the bay. In this reserve, there are more than 350 protected species. If we're lucky, we'll also see the magnificent condor flying over San Fernando Bay, the last coastal habitat where this bird can still be found.
We'll then descend to the beach and you'll have one hour of free time to explore the area and enjoy a delicious meal in one of the restaurants. We recommend you to try the fish!
Finally, we'll return to the vehicle to cross again the Nazca desert until we reach the slopes of the Huaricangana hill. We'll get off the vehicles and practice sandboarding, an exciting activity in which you'll slide down the dunes with your boards and experience a great rush of adrenaline.
After the sandboarding, we'll return to your hotel in Nazca, where we'll arrive after a six-hour excursion.
