Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet you at Plaza Mayor in Trinidad on foot and begin our walk through the city’s charming historic center, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We'll arrive at Los Dos Cañones Park, where we'll meet the horses, our noble travel companions. Here, we'll also see the ruins of an important sugar mill. After a safety briefing and once everyone is ready, we’ll begin the ride to El Pilón Waterfall.
We'll ride across green hills and trails surrounded by dense tropical vegetation. Along the way, we'll pass the traditional bohíos, rural homes that preserve the region’s countryside lifestyle.
After riding about 3 km (1.8 mi), we’ll reach El Pilón Waterfall, a hidden spot in the heart of Trinidad’s jungle. Here, we’ll let the horses rest and hydrate while we enjoy 2 hours in the cool, crystal-clear waters.
After relaxing, we’ll ride back to Los Dos Cañones and say goodbye to the horses. Then, we'll walk to Doña Clara restaurant for a traditional Cuban lunch made with seasonal ingredients.
Once we’ve recharged, we’ll walk back to the meeting point in Trinidad, where the day trip will end after 5 hours.
