Join us on this free tour of the historic center of Trinidad and La Vigía hill at the most magical time of day. We'll climb the hill and admire the spectacular sunset over Trinidad, in the south of Cuba. You'll absolutely fall in love with the views from this vantage point.

Free tour of La Vigia Hill at Sunset

We'll start this free tour of Trinidad in the main square of Trinidad, next to the statue of Terpsichore at the central Hotel Iberostar Heritage Grand Trinidad, where we'll meet up at the scheduled time.

As the afternoon is just turning to dusk, we'll begin strolling through Carillo Square and other points of the historic center of Trinidad. During the tour, we'll learn fascinating fun facts about the town and the Valle de los Ingenios. Did you know that both are declared World Heritage Sites?

Gradually, we'll move away from the old town and begin our climb to the top of La Vigía Hill. From up here, we'll get breathtaking views of the sun setting over Trinidad. Reddish, orange, and violet tones will cover the sky of the town, giving rise to one of the most beautiful sunsets in southern Cuba.

After watching the sunset, we'll begin our descent down La Vigia Hill while we learn about the history of pirates in this area. This point in Cuba always had great strategic importance for trade routes through the Caribbean Sea, so control of the region was key.

Finally, after a total of approximately 2 hours, our free tour will come to an end back in the historic center of Trinidad.
